This asynchronous pre-learning is included with all Civil Rights Certification Courses and runs approximately 90 minutes. Civil Rights Fundamentals eTraining provides learners with a comprehensive understanding of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the establishment of subsequent civil rights laws, statutes, and regulations that apply to education settings. ATIXA’s expert faculty will provide an overview of federal laws and statutes that protect students and/or employees in primary and post-secondary education settings. Learners will also explore how administrators and districts/institutions may interact with the U.S. Department of Education Office for Civil Rights (OCR).
This eTraining can also be taken as a standalone training, providing the necessary background of Civil Rights law and its implications for educational settings for administrators who may not have direct compliance responsibilities.
