Dr. Lisa Lieberman, Ph.D., Professor and Chair of Public Health, Montclair State University, received her Ph.D. in Health Behavior and Health Education from the University of Michigan. Her scholarly work includes mixed-methods research and evaluation of sex education programs, campus sexual assault, and policy approaches to sex education and reproductive health.
In 2021, Drs. Goldfarb and Lieberman published a seminal paper on three decades of evidence for comprehensive sex education. Since its publication, it has remained the most highly cited paper in the Journal of Adolescent Health. This led to a Guest Editorial in the NY Times and a wide range of presentations to state, national, and international organizations on school-based sex education and teacher preparation needs.
