Dr. Kiara F. Allison is a well-rounded higher education professional who began her higher education career in 2011. Currently, Dr. Allison is the Title IX Coordinator and Equal Opportunity Officer at Widener University. In this role, she serves as the lead equity officer for the Chester campus and two law school campuses Located in Harrisburg, PA and Wilmington, DE. Dr. Allison blends her experiences as a student affairs educator and DEIB professional, with her academic background as a critical philosopher of education to create unique insights and strategies into promoting cultures of inclusive excellence and belonging. Dr. Allison has been working in the Title IX space since 2016, first serving as an adjudicator within an Office of Student Conduct, and then serving as a Case Manager and Deputy Equal Opportunity and Title IX Coordinator at two Pennsylvania institutions. Dr. Allison’s experience at multiple institutions, both private and public, in several roles, with varying organizational models and resourcing allows her to offer perspective to other Title IX Coordinators looking to move the needle at their respective institutions.
