Josie Hoover, DMin., SHRM-CP brings over 17 years of experience in higher education administration. Currently, Josie is the Director of Human Resources and Title IX Co-Coordinator at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary (PTS), where she manages the Seminary’s HR functions and Title IX compliance. Prior to joining PTS, Josie was the Compliance Officer & Title IX Coordinator at the University of the District of Columbia, responsible for developing and implementing all university-wide policies and programs related to Title VI, Title VII, Title IX, Section 504 (ADA), workers compensation, and campus equity & diversity programs. Other higher education administrative roles include Title IX Coordinator, Director of Human Resources and Diversity Officer at Wesley Theological Seminary, Washington, DC. Josie also serves on the Middle States Commission for Higher Education as a Peer Evaluator; and the Association for Title IX Administrators (ATIXA) Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee. Josie also lends her expertise in higher education administration through her work as a presenter for the Association for Theological Schools; and Society for Christian Ethics, to name a few.
Josie has a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Louisville, and Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Wesley Theological Seminary.
