To obtain a Civil Rights Investigator Certification, you will need to attend the whole event. What does this certificate mean? It means that you have tapped into the unparalleled expertise of ATIXA and the other carefully selected experts in the field.
Once the course is completed, you will receive your certification from ATIXA. Certificates for this training event will be provided to you electronically via our Continuing Certification Credit (CCC) program system. A member of our team will be in contact with you via email with instructions on accepting your certification credits in the 7-10 business days following the completion of this course. Now you can stay up-to-date! We are excited to announce our online professional development platform called the Continuing Certification Credit (CCC) program. Our CCC program allows clients of The NCHERM Group, including those certified by ATIXA, to track, maintain and extend their professional development through our programs.

Leslee Morris, J.D., is an Associate with The NCHERM Group, LLC. She serves on the ATIXA Advisory Board. She received her juris doctorate degree and mediation training from the University of Colorado (CU) School of Law. She was admitted to the Colorado bar in 2000 and served as an associate in the Office of University Counsel at CU, specializing in employment discrimination cases. She also served for nine years as an investigator in the Student Conduct Office at CU, specializing in civil rights-based grievances. Most recently, Leslee was the Title IX Compliance and Grievances Coordinator for National University in San Diego, California. Prior to law school, Leslee was a Policy Analyst for a nonprofit organization in New York City where she specialized in child welfare and juvenile justice issues. She is a co-author of Youth Involvement in the Child Welfare and Juvenile Justice Systems: A Case of Double Jeopardy? She is always looking for a running partner.
Training is from 9:00AM to 5:00PM each day. Registration will open at 8:30AM.

Directions & Parking
Complimentary parking is available as a courtesy from the host institution in Lots 9, 10, & 11. Public Safety will provide a parking pass upon arrival at the Main Gate House. The pass will need to be displayed in the car dashboard.
*Only park in spaces designated for students. Do not park in spaces reserved for Faculty and Staff.

Both airports have connections to the Tri-Rail, which can bring you to the Opa Locka Station, which is 2.6 miles from campus.
Breakfast, Lunch & Snack Breaks
Our host campus will provide a light continental breakfast and afternoon snack break each day. Lunch each day will be on your own. A list of local eateries will be provided on-site.
Attire is business casual with an emphasis on casual. Room temperatures may vary; layers are encouraged.
If wish to use a laptop to take notes, please have your computer fully charged and consider bringing a back-up battery, as there are not enough outlets in the room for individual use. Staff on site will not be available to provide any electrical cords or technological assistance.
