DFSCA Compliance Assessment

The Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act (DFSCA) requires campuses to establish policies and procedures that address unlawful possession, use, or distribution of alcohol and drugs. Campuses must examine their prevention efforts and produce a biennial review demonstrating their policy’s effectiveness and consistency.

TNG offers a thorough assessment process to evaluate your campus policies, programs, notifications, and practices related to drug prevention and education to ensure they align with the requirements of the DFSCA. Our goal is to identify areas of strength and areas for improvement, providing you with a roadmap for achieving and maintaining compliance in an environment where states continue to liberalize marijuana laws that contrast with continuing federal prohibitions.

During the assessment process, we engage in open dialogue with key stakeholders, including administrators, faculty, students, and community members. This allows us to gain valuable insights into the campus culture and understand the unique challenges and strengths related to drug prevention efforts.

We will provide you with a detailed report highlighting areas of compliance and areas that require attention, or we can custom-craft a DFSCA-compliant report for you based on our template. We offer practical recommendations and strategies to enhance your drug prevention efforts, ensuring that your campus remains a safe and healthy environment for all community members.

Learning Outcomes:

  • The client will have a detailed understanding of when certain steps of the assessment will be completed, along with the final date
  • The client will receive a completed report with commendations and recommendations
  • The client could commission a fully compliant DFSCA template report, ready for the next deadline (Biennial reports should be produced on even-number years, looking back over the preceding two years)
