Paul Apicella currently serves as the Principal and Director of Higher Edquity Solutions, LLC and is the Director of Institutional Compliance and Title IX Coordinator at Montclair State University. Mr. Apicella has devoted over a decade to his career as a Title IX Administrator, Investigator, Adjudicator, Advisor, and consultant. Mr. Apicella has experience in building and re-organizing Title IX functions and offices at private and public institutions both as an employed administrator and as an external evaluator, and has navigated the myriad philosophical, practical, and strategic concerns involved in building a Title IX team on an organizational and unit level. Mr. Apicella’s varied experiences provide him with a unique insight into what Title IX Administrators might – or might not – do to build a robust and effective staffing plan for their office in spite of the institutional challenges they may face along the way.
